New for 2020, we have teamed up with Hawkinge and District Gardeners’ Society to create an “InterClub” Competition which will take place annually. River Gardeners’ and Hawkinge and District Gardeners’ Society will host the Inter-club alternately, with the first competition taking place at River Gardener’s home ground, River Village Hall. This is a Fun, Friendly competition which will run alongside the Summer Show on Saturday 4th July.
The Inter-Club Competition will consist of six classes, a mix of Growing, Baking, making and Photography. This year, the classes are:
71. Photography: A Pub Sign (Max 5×7 inches)
72. Vegetables: 3 Different Home grown Vegetables
73. Flowers: 9 Stems of Sweet Peas (Same or Mixed)
74. Floral Art: A Ladies Corsage (max 15 cm)
75. Cooking: Tea Bread (recipe supplied below)
76. Craft: A Summer Collage (max A4 Size)
Judging the inter-Club Compeition
Entrants will represent either the River Gardeners’ Association or Hawkinge and District Gardeners’ Society. Judging will take place and points awarded for First, Second & Third place. Points will then be totalled for the over-all winner.

Simply complete the Online entry form at: https://rivergardeners.com/entry-form/ with the class numbers you are interested in entering. On Show day bring your exhibits to River Village Hall before 10:45 for Staging/ Displaying, our friendly team will be on hand to assist you.
Each exhibitor may only enter once in each class, you will need to pick the club you’ll represent prior to exhibiting.
There is no limit on number of unique exhibitors per club.
The interclub will run annually, with River Gardeners and Hawkinge and District Gardeners’ Society Alternately holding the event at their Summer Shows.
